Walk with me through the great hall adorned with gold and silver, archways of pearl and twenty foot doorways made of the great redwood. Look with me if you will, into the great banquet room decorated for the celebration of the ages, fine linen drapes of purple and scarlet, engraved ceilings lit with the satisfaction of the saints. Peer with me into this eternal celebration, the marriage feast of the Lamb, both Husband and Wife clothed in light so brilliant that every guest appears to be clothed in the same. Listen as the husband speaks of the brilliance of His wife and the wife of the magnificence of her husband. They gaze into each other’s eyes with a look of ecstasy upon their face that speaks of love, and is heard throughout the Heavens and the Earth as a great trumpet blast. They are two that have become one, holding fast to the mystery that is their love, they drink deeply of one another and intimately embrace in a way that makes all the guests feel naked and vulnerable. So secure in their union, they dance and play as small children, freely sharing their love with guests in a way that causes those who peer through the windows to question their commitment for one another. But this is union, and in union there is no jealousy, only delight in the pleasure of the other; this is a love so strong, so unrelenting, that one might call it unconditional! This love they share is beautiful, so effortless, because they are love; it is not difficult for Love to love!
It is only hard to be yourself when you do not know who you are. It is only necessary to explain yourself if you are not secure in Love! The need to explain ones self comes from insecurity and the fear of man, but love cast out all fear! Love is patient, it is kind, it does not envy nor is it ever jealous. Love is not rude or proud; it is not selfish and keeps no record of wrongs, for it only sees that which is good! It rejoices in all that is and sees the best in everyone and everything. Love never fails!
Does the Groom feel the need to explain the love He has for His Bride? Does the Bride try to define Her Husband for the guests, with inadequate words or human origin? Does She need the guests to see Her Husband as She does or too know Her Husband as She does? Is She trying to convince the guests of His beauty of His kindness? Or is this revealed in the expression of their love? His goodness is seen in His embrace of the Bride, it does not need an explanation. The Bride does not try to explain to Her guests who He is, She simply introduces Him. She has no statement of faith about Her Husband and would not attempt to constrain Him in such ways. She would not consider trying to place Him in a box of doctrinal beliefs, for that would keep Her from knowing Him more deeply. That would stifle the mystery that is Love!
Ask yourself; is it more important to know what you believe or who you believe? Information is nothing more than created light moving at rapid speeds. It is thought waves formed from a conglomeration of past experiences. Do your opinions find their origin in a truth of what has been or the Truth of what is? Do you see your life through the filtered lens of regret? Have you allowed temporal circumstances to cloud your eternal vision? Is what you believe about God more important to you than the intimate fellowship of this moment? When you have a life question, do you consult a book written about God before you inquire of Him? Do your beliefs about God come from what was said, what was written and what has been?
You can read a book to discover facts about someone and learn enough about them that others might actually believe you know them. This fact discovery will lead you to develop a statement of faith, create a doctrinal box and ultimately restrict your ability to know the individual you know so much about! This is the prison of religion; knowledge without power, the appearance of what is right without love, the attempt to gain by your own effort that which you already have in Christ!
Be awakened today by the sound of freedom; it sounds as an alarm throughout the kosmos! It screams from the roof tops of cathedrals, “You, who want to know Love, this is the moment of romance.” The moment when you forget your self-imposed restrictions, letting go of the moral right and wrong that flows from pulpits and embrace Love! The moment of realization, that what you know about Love is trumped by knowing Him! That what you read about Him is but a beggar’s description, written with inadequate words of the quill and read with the eye glasses of religion. Let go of your belief that is based on these words and be swept of your feet by Love Himself!
You are FREE to just be! Spread your wings and prepare to soar, for what you thought you knew, no longer restrains you; who you thought you were is no longer relevant, and what happened yesterday no longer defines you. Gaze with me into the eyes of love and you will never be the same. The journey of perpetual transfiguration is upon us. For we have been caught up in Love, awakened by His embrace and enraptured with His kisses.
